Direct Long Fiber Thermoplastic Solutions.
Inline Compounding. Maximum Toughness.
SUASE is a leading producer of Long Fiber Thermoplastic (LFT) molds. Our exceptional manufacturing process and dedication to quality have made us a top choice for customers seeking the best LFT molding solutions.
LFT is a type of composite material made from a mixture of thermoplastic resins and long glass fibers. Unlike standard reinforced thermoplastics where fiber length is <1mm, in LFT, fiber length is generally >2mm. Current D-LFT processing techniques maintain fiber lengths >5mm, providing significantly better impact performance and fatigue resistance.
"The combination of these materials provides excellent mechanical and physical properties, making LFT an ideal choice for structural automotive parts."
Inline compounding for maximum efficiency and material performance.
PP resin and glass rovings are mixed directly in a twin-screw extruder. This preserves fiber length better than pre-pelletized materials.
The molten charge (log) is extruded and precisely cut by a robot, ready for placement into the mold.
The charge is pressed in a water-cooled SUASE mold. Fast cooling sets the part shape with minimal internal stress.
"We utilize the latest technology to produce high-precision LFT molds that meet the highest quality standards."
| Mold Steel | P20, 718 (Pre-hardened) |
| Shear Edge | Vertical Telescoping (0.05mm gap) |
| Cooling System | High-Flow Water Cooling |
| Ejection | Hydraulic / Mechanical |
| Cycle Time | 30s - 60s (Part Dependent) |
D-LFT eliminates the need for semi-finished goods (like GMT sheets), reducing raw material costs by compounding inline.
Capable of molding complex rib structures on the B-side, allowing for part consolidation and weight reduction in structural components.
Our dedicated support team ensures that molds are delivered on time and to exact specifications, answering any questions throughout the process.
Structural integrity meets lightweight design.
Structural carriers for dashboards. D-LFT provides stiffness to support airbags and electronics.
Integrated carriers combining window regulators and latches into a single composite part.
Complex structural parts holding headlights and radiators. Replaces multi-piece metal assemblies with a single composite shot.
"In conclusion, if you're looking for a reliable partner for your LFT molding needs, choose SUASE. Our exceptional manufacturing process and commitment to quality make us the ideal choice."
