The 2026 China Composites Industry Association (CCIA) Compression Moulding Technical Exchange took place in Huangyan, Taizhou, Zhejiang, China, on 15–17 October. Held under the guidance of CCIA and organised by its Compression Moulding Materials Committee, the event was jointly hosted by Beijing Yinuo Zhiying Information Consulting Centre, SUASE MOULD and Zhejiang SANSE.
The programme focused on green transition and sustainable development in composites compression moulding in the context of China’s carbon-peaking and carbon-neutrality goals. Technical presentations, industry discussions and a factory visit brought together perspectives on processing innovation, greener manufacturing and collaboration across the supply chain.
Exchanging experience in compression moulding and greener manufacturing
The main conference programme took place on 16 October. CCIA President Zhao Junshan and industry experts including Xue Zhongmin, Liu Changlei and Huang Jiakang took part in the exchange. Presentations addressed topics including low-carbon development in glass fibre and related products, composites applications and advances in moulding technology, providing opportunities to share practical experience across the industry.
In his welcome address, Xiao Haitao, General Manager of SANSE Group, welcomed the participating experts and industry colleagues on behalf of Zhejiang SANSE and SUASE MOULD. He also outlined the companies’ continued focus on composites compression moulding and their approach to development in the sector.
An IMC presentation linking surface processing with engineering practice
Li Jiachun, Chairman of SUASE MOULD, delivered a technical presentation on in-mould coating (IMC). Drawing on the company’s development and engineering experience, he discussed approaches to composite exterior panels that avoid a separate spray-painting step, including a process route combining resin transfer moulding (RTM) with a secondary IMC injection step.
The presentation brought the discussion to surface processing and the manufacture of composite components. For SUASE MOULD, such exchanges are also an opportunity to maintain practical engineering dialogue with industry partners around mould development, processing and end-use requirements.
Continuing the technical exchange at SUASE’s factory
On 17 October, delegates visited SUASE’s factory and sample display area to learn more about composite moulded products, mould development and related manufacturing activities. Discussions alongside the exhibits covered practical production challenges and experience from manufacturing.
The visit connected the conference presentations with specific products and manufacturing settings. The sample displays gave participants from different technical backgrounds a shared reference for further discussion of materials, processes and applications.
The visit also included a historical display of glass-fibre-reinforced plastic moulded products. Featuring composites application examples dating back to 1963, the display was introduced by industry specialist Huang Jiakang, who shared his first-hand experience of early materials applications and moulded products.
SUASE MOULD thanks the association, speakers and delegates for their contributions to the event. The company will continue to focus on composite compression mould engineering and practical technical exchange around mould development and processing, working with industry partners to explore reliable and sustainable manufacturing approaches.
